This is NOONEE's Chairless Chair, one of the most recognizable applications of exoskeleton technology in modern industry.

Unlike exoskeletons that assist with lifting weights, this system focuses on ergonomics and the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders for workers who must stand for long hours (e.g. on car production lines).

How does the Chairless Chair work?
The exoskeleton is worn as a harness around the legs and waist, but does not hinder walking. The “magic” happens when the worker has to lower or sit down:

Locking Mechanism: With the push of a button, the exoskeleton joints lock at the desired angle, transferring the body's weight directly to the heels of the shoes and the ground.

Variable Height: Does not restrict the user to one position. Can be locked in a half-seat (for working at low height) or a full seat.

Freedom of Movement: Once the user stands up, the mechanism unlocks and they can walk normally to the next workstation.
